Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the MapleFinIT website (the "Site") or services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.

The Site is operated by 15866081 Canada Inc., a Canadian corporation operating as MapleFinIT, headquartered at Oakhaven Drive, Oakville, Ontario L6M 3Z1, Canada.

2. About our services

MapleFinIT is an IT staffing and recruitment firm. We connect IT professionals (candidates) with employers seeking IT talent (clients). We do not employ candidates ourselves unless an explicit employment contract is signed.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter binding agreements to use our Services. Candidates must hold valid work authorization for the country in which they seek employment, as described in our work authorization policy.

4. Candidate submissions

By submitting a candidate profile or resume, you represent that:

  • All information provided is accurate, current, and truthful to the best of your knowledge
  • You hold the legal right to share the resume and any third-party information referenced therein
  • You consent to MapleFinIT sharing your profile with prospective employer clients for the purpose of recruitment
  • You hold valid work authorization for the jurisdictions where you wish to be considered for roles
  • You will promptly update us if any of your information changes materially

MapleFinIT does not charge fees to candidates. Any individual or entity requesting payment from a candidate in connection with our Services is not authorized by us and should be reported immediately.

5. Client engagements

Employer clients agree to engage MapleFinIT under written service agreements covering fees, deliverables, exclusivity, and replacement guarantees. Use of the Site to submit a hiring requirement initiates a sales conversation, not a binding service contract. A binding agreement is formed only when both parties sign a service agreement.

6. No guarantees of employment or hiring

MapleFinIT does not guarantee that any candidate will be hired or that any client will fill a role through our Services. We act as an intermediary; hiring decisions remain solely with the employer client.

7. Intellectual property

The Site, its content, branding, logos, and all related materials are the property of MapleFinIT or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use the Site to harass, spam, or send unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to access systems or data not authorized for your use
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the Site
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

9. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapleFinIT, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or Services. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MapleFinIT and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of the page indicates when these Terms were last revised.
